SHOWBUS established itself as a showcase for the latest offerings to the UK bus market at an early stage. This 1978 line up had four current models. On the far left is Reading Transport Metropolitan 133 (SGM133S) promoting some sort of UK-Germany tie up. Next in line is believed to be Leicester City Dennis Dominator 237 (UFP237S) then Brighton Corporation Leyland Atlantean 10 (TYJ10S) with a near identical East Lancs body. Half visible on the end is Derby's unique lowheight Alexander bodied Ailsa, 71 (RTO1R) which has returned to SHOWBUS since in preservation.
