Big Bus was a different sort of London operator to acquire Metrobus Tridents and took a saw to them! Big Bus' open topper DA9 used to be Metrobus 425 (LV51YCL) and is seen squeezing through traffic in Trafalgar Square on May 23rd 2009.

Big Bus DA1 (LV51YCD) was Metrobus 418, the second of their batch delivered in January 2002. The bus is seen in Baker Street in May 2008.

February in London is not the obvious climate to take to the top deck of an open top bus, which is probably why the hardy souls are gathered in the enclosed front session as DA3 (LV51YCM), former Metrobus 426, picks its way through puddles on the corner of Strand and Lancaster Place in 2011.
|
July is a much better month to plan an open top trip and former 421, DA11 (LV51YCG), has been fully converted to open top. However it is summer 2012 so the top deck tourists were lucky to find summer sun as the bus passes Marble Arch.
