For a small rural depot, Aylesbury had a diverse collection of vehicles, most fleet types being represented. Many stayed at the depot most of their working lives bearing the garage's pale blue fleet number plates edged either side by a red stripe. This early VR was one such fleet member, but seen alongside another depot regular, an old Northern Counties bodied Daimler Fleetline of Oxford South Midland, parked in its usual corner spot. The bus was outstationed for a school contract and a Walton Court town service which ran between school times and on Saturdays. |

An unusual visitor to Aylesbury was former Luton Corporation East Lancs bodied Albion Lowlander 167 (167EMJ). The bus itself was unusual in a former Tilling fleet and did not stay long, even though it had got repainted into green and cream. The bus passed to Godfrey Abbot in Manchester and served there until 1978. Luton Corporation was acquired in 1970 whose recent deliveries and subsequent orders had been for Bristol RE singledeckers which obviously fitted in well with United Counties fleet and they had a long life there.
