Very unusual purchases for Leighton Buzzard town services were a pair of Tricentrol bodied Ford A series 071/2 (PKX271/2R). Very few A series were built and Tricentrol bodies were equally as obscure, though Tricentrol was local to the area. They were probably better known as a major coach operator in the area and for pioneering the shortening of the Ford R192 chassis to make a smaller coach, work which they engineered themselves. Note the crude destination blind.
