Undoubtedly a star of Showbus 1999 was the Leyland G7 Charabus of Mike Sutcliffe, painstakingly restored in its original United Counties garb of the twenties and making an excellent contrast with the newer preserved vehicles.

A SHOWBUS perk was being invited by "Leyland Bus Man" Mike Sutcliffe for a private viewing of his amazing collection of restired Leylands in July 2015 before the collection was dispersed. The Charabus is seen poking out of its shed.
