By 2019 buses in that first Stagecoach livery were passing into preservation. One such was Alexander bodied Leyland Olympian 654 (H654VVV) a type that was a standard across the Stagecoach fleets. Not conforming to the Stagecoach standard was the style of United Counties fleetname, from early deregulation days and the simple three digit fleetnumber, but those did get changed in due course, It is seen arriving at the Hertfordshire County Showground for SHOWBUS 2019.

In 2021 the no longer existing United Counties celebrated its centenary from its beginnings as the Wellingborough Motor Omnibus. At SHOWBUS a special area was set aside for preserved fleet members with Olympian 654 closest to the camers, but beyond are Bristol VRTSL3 882, Ford R1014 59, Bedford YRT 111 and VRTSL6G 757.
