The new Optare company put on an impressive display at Showbus. This Solo was one of three demonstration vehicles on view joining a Versa and Tempo. YJ57YCE is seen arriving at Showbus in Optare's long standing silver and blue demonstrator livery.

What was United Counties and is now Stagecoach East has quite a few vehicles in non standard livery like this Connect Kettering Optare Solo in a green colour scheme echoing the fleet colour of the old United Counties. Stagecoach East 47401 (KX55PEO) is seen arriving at Duxford.

Brylaine of Boston operate the "it - into town" service using specially liveried Optare Solos. This pair are seen arriving at Showbus: YJ08PHV/PHX.

The Brylaine Solos ended up parked next to another Stagecoach East branded Solo, Corby Star 47339 (KX06TYC). The Solos were part of a big arc of Optare entries. The one just best of all can just be seen in Warwickshire County Links yellow and jade livery, entered by A-Line Coaches of Coventry.

At the other end of the arc of Optares was another Solo in the colours of Stephensons of Essex next to a pair of Tempis from Konect and Norfolk Green followed by three Versas from Wardle, Nottingham and TM Travel.
