Woottens of Chesham has recently entered commercial bus work in a bold way with a fleet of East Lancs rebodied Leyland Tigers acquired from what was Strathtay Omnibuses. The buses are branded Tiger Line and operate a new service from Aylesbury to Hemel Hempstead via Stoke Mandeville, Wendover, Gt Missenden and Chesham. The coach seated Tigers also benefit from seat belts. THL290Y was new to National Travel East, the unit based on the old Sheffield United Tours fleet, with a Plaxton body. This Tiger does not so much have a Tiger in the tank, but look closely and there's one at the wheel!
