Arriving at Showbus is Southdown PSV 106 (GX06AOE) a Volvo B7TL with East Lancs bodywork built in 2006. The following year East Lancs hit cashflow problems after over specified doubledeckers for London failed the tilt test and required modification. The company was taken over and renamed Darwen and production resumed.

Cardiff 460 (CN57BKA) is seen arriving at Duxford, it is one of their batch of new Scania N270UD with the new East Lancs Olympus body style. The Olympus replaced the design used on Southdown PSV's Volvo above.

The Cardiff Bus ended up alongside the Southdown PSV in a line up of East Lancs/Darwen products. Alongside is the first Alexander-Dennis Enviro400 chassis to be bodied by East Lancs for CT Plus, the London contractor based on Hackney Borough Council's Transport Department. CT Plus already operate a fleet of East Lancs bodied Dennis Tridents, similar in appearance to Southdown PSV's B7TL.

Delaine Buses are stalwart Showbus supporters and this year displayed their 2008 deliveries, both Volvo B9TLs, bringing their fleet total of these machines to four. Delaine are equally stalwart supporters of the Volvo/East Lancs combination, taking delivery of the first Olympus to be built. This pair had their bodies built in the short-lived Darwen era. Shortly before Showbus, Darwen was taken over by Optare, which shared common ownership with the Darwen Group. Both Delaine's buses are named: 143 (AD08DBL) is Emma Jane Smith and 144 (AD58DBL) is Derek Vickers Tilley.
