New to Canberra as 60160 in 1951 this Commonwealth Engineering bodied AEC Regal III was retired in 1965 and sold to Red Top Transport in Sydney. They sold it on to Campbell of Bungendore, who operated it on the Queanbeyan to Bungendore service until 1976. It was then purchased for preservation and restoration and re-installation of the rear door, removed during its time at Bungendore. In 2008 it was acquired by the Museum and was repainted into the Canberra livery shown without charge by Custom Coaches.

The six wheel Bedford VAL enjoyed some success in Australia, a country fond of GM products. This example is a 1970 VAL70 with Custom body new to Perretts of Werris Creek. After 26 years service the Perrett family donated the coach to the Museum, seen here in Tempe over Christmas 2000.
