Once upon a time branded Sapphire for Luton - Dunstable services when new, 5145 (N45JPP) is one of two Northern Counties Olympians displaced from Luton to High Wycombe. The Sapphire branding has since been revived and used widely by Arriva nationally. The bus is seen emerging from Wycombe Bus Station. It blends well the older ex Ensign machines still in service in the town at the time. |
Sister vehicle 5135 (N35JPP) is seen in Oxford in May 2008 working out of Aylesbury depot in lieu of one of the Palatine II models usually deployed on and route branded for the 280 service. |
Volvo 5161 (S161KNK), last of the batch of semi-coach seated Northern Counties Palatine II bodied Olympians is seen at SHOWBUS international 2002, carrying route branding for the Aylesbury - Oxford 280 service.
