The Oxford coach fleet also enjoyed the last of the touring coaches ordered by the old South Midland Motor Services when still controlled by Thames Valley. Bereft of its original maroon and cream livery, this Plaxton Panorama Elite bodied Bristol RELH6G, 58 (TFC58J), was new with only forty seats. It is seen on a Private Hire to a major event.

Aside from Park & Ride or advert liveries, the Oxford service broke away from standard NBC dual purpose livery with orange, red and bue stripes to promote the Oxford - London service, which had become the 190. Duple Dominant bodied Leyland Leopard 21 (BBW21V) has been acquired by the Oxford Bus Museum to represent those halcyon days. It is seen fully restored on display in the Museum in July 2019.

An unusual seconhand acquisition was this Alexander bodied AEC Reliance from short lived NBC subsidiary Hebble Motor Services. Now Oxford 17 (TCP899), the 49 seat coach, seen emerging from Cowley Road depot, was new in 1964 as Hebble 73.
